Hmmm . . . There was already a [thread](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=198185) about this, that got not one single relpy, says Eve, who’s still pissed off that the [deaths](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=197946) of singing legend Elisabeth Welch and writer Alexander Walker garnered not so much as a disinterested yawn . . .

Damn, and I thought she’d live forever. I had a roommate in college who literally worshipped her (although he later started dressing like her, which I found a bit odd).
