Celiac, maybe? Need tips for gluten-free diet [edited title]

My sister is gluten-intolerant, so I’ve been in the habit of looking for GF things. I should probably cut it out too…

Don’t even lick envelopes any more. Check cosmetics, shampoos, etc. for wheat products.

Watch for cross-contamination in the kitchen–wooden utensils, sponges, the toaster, etc.

On the up side, look at different cuisines that aren’t based on wheat and focus on what you *can *eat. (lots of Asian cuisines, for example)

I’m coeliac, in Australia everything that has wheat, barley or rye has to say so, so it’s not too bad if you are picking stuff yourself. Bread is indeed a pain though, GF is rather expensive. I eat semi-home made bread, made from gluten free bread mix.
