There was a similar situation with 3D (Robert del Naja) from Massive Attack, who got arrested after a stolen credit card got used to pay for child porn.
From that link: “Child pornography has expanded into a business so profitable, it is no longer limited to pedophiles.”
The hell???
It’s referring to producers/distributors. As in, no longer just individual pedos documenting themselves, so to speak, and exchanging, but people not personally pedophillic setting up the production or becoming distribution clearinghouses of CP for profits’ sake. They are not themselves pedos, but they have no compulsion about buying and selling and commissioning the material, or even themselves photographing/recording real pedos in action, or nude children in lewd poses. As with hard drugs, the succesful entrepreneur may indeed not sample the product, but remain a straight merchant that services the cusstomers’ demand and so what if anyone gets hurt.
Same for gunshot wounds.
Does not apply to John Q. ( *Not in reference to the OP, just making the point that I am not required to report crime.
Some people are required to do so. John Q is not.*)
No it’s not a sickness. Some people are born lefty’s and some people are born righty’s.
Just like some people are born gay and some people aren’t.
It doesn’t sound far-fetched at all to me. If you want to collect pictures that you know are illegal, keeping them on computers other than your own is pretty good protection against getting caught.
Thats what I thought to, but it seems the statute linked says “When any person…” that would seem to include John Q. I stated above why I doubted this statute could stand up to constitutional review. Nobody responded, so I won’t do it again.
Sorry to hear that, Dio.
