Censorship failed!

Is does seem like the portion sizes deifinitely increased after her blog went viral. Plus the school “suddenly” finding out that the kids could have extra fruits and veg.

Cute kid - good for her.

Good job, Martha!

+1. It doesn’t look bad at all for institutional food. Looks like most of them have some from-fresh veg even. I’ve been served far worse by several airlines. Note: SAS and Swissair were not among those airlines…they did well!

I love the way she shows guest bloggers’ lunches and tells how long it took to find on the globe. She seems like a kid I might actually enjoy being around.

Yeah, good times.

Also blowing up this week, USOC vs. Ravelry.com (a knit-and-crochet website which is the 10th largest social networking site in the world). USOC served Ravelry with a cease & desist regarding its use of the term “Ravelympics” to describe a friendly competition which invited knitters to make specific projects while watching the Olympics. What really cheesed users off was the part of the letter that stated the Ravelympics denigrated the efforts and spirit of the Olympics. When it was essentially a worldwide Olympics-watching club.

After a barrage of tweets, emails, and angry phone calls to HQ, USOC apologized for the tone of the letter – twice, because the first apology wasn’t deemed sincere.

She’s over 100,000 pounds for Mary’s Meals. This controversy has fed a lot of disadvantaged kids. See, sometimes good comes of things.
