In my experience (granted, apparently not as full as yours) generally it tends to be the words themselves which are banned or censored on online games. I think I get your point, though I still think you’re being an ass about it (and when I say “ass”, please don’t equate that to adherence to the socio-political theory of behaviour-bodypart linkage). Problem is this; you can certainly decide what you will take from a situation, but you can’t decide what others will take. Point in obviousness; you got banned, and probably will be now from here. If for you “nigger” has no racial attack built into it, but it could get you banned or various bad results for you - I can’t speak for you, but I think I would probably have the debate about it being acceptable _before_ using the word. Seriously, you have no reason not to. ---

If so, you may not realize that our social reality includes an extremely long and touchy conflict over skin-color-based discrimination. I do understand that folks in other countries don’t always grasp the gravity of the situation, but, seriously, dropping the N-bomb in this country is the social equivalent of shooting someone in the head. It just isn’t done, and no amount of your not understanding why it offends people is going to PREVENT it from offending people. (Yes, I know he’s probably gone or sulking, but still…) ---

Now I heared that when you when you study philosophy and psychology for about 4 years they give you a BS dee gree. All us boys down at the shop knows what that stands for. Then I heared that if you do some more learning, you get an MS, which I have been told stands for More of the Same. Finally I heared that if you study some more you get a PHD. Where is his ten-page-long screed with citations to the Bulgarian Journal of Eudaemonic Research? Where does he claim to have solved all of mankind’s problems by positing the Universe is, in reality, a plutonium atom? Lighten up, Francis. 😛 Here is where I should come in to say that the really awesome impressive thing is not to come barging in saying you know more than everyone else and to try to show it off, since few things turn people off more. Instead, I should say the impressive thing is to know how awesome you are and never come on so strongly so people realize you’re awesome without you having to tell them. And that even if you have valid and interesting points of view you’ll gain more traction by not treating the people around you like the simpletons you are oh so sure they are. However, I’ll have a lot more fun if I express the oft-stated opinion that the only thing less useful than an English BA is a Philosophy/Psychology BA. Also my penis is a lot bigger than yours\*. I’m a skeptic in some ways though, so I don’t stick out too badly here. (My point being, there are people of many Creeds here, all sharing ideas, and remaining largely civil.) Seems to me like you just want a fight, and not any kind of conversation with the members here. Here is a thing to think about: those people dressing you down in your topic, are just as skeptical about other things that are non-esoteric. You have to show proofs as to what you are saying to convince them of your points. The recent topic discussing a fat tax comes to mind.
