I was slightly familiar with Cesario, mainly from the “Youth Sufferage” thread, but after reading this I am thoroughly creeped out. I just want to rub myself down with Purell. Anyone who can seriously write the phrase “…very attractive 4-year old” is… I 'dunno; help me out with an adjective. Repugnant? Icky? I just can’t get that phrase out of my mind; I imagine it being delivered in a lispy, wet, asthmatic whisper punctuated by “…heh, heh, heh.” ---

But I think when you embrace a POV that is repugnant, you take the chance that people will in no uncertain terms inform you that your POV is repugnant and that you are contemptible for holding it. That’s what free speech means. Person A gets to say whatever disgusting indefensible thing he wants, and then Person B gets to point out it’s disgusting and indefensible. Free speech doesn’t mean no consequences for anything you say. ---
