You and I seem to have **very** similar taste in movies. And we both enjoy watching the greats multiple times. I was surprised that _Mystic River_ was completely overlooked in the recent Voting for Greatest Movies threads. It’s among my Top Ten. My praise for _Good Thief_ – the role which Roger Ebert says Nick Nolte was born to play – would be more lukewarm. Without the soundtrack – featuring Leonard Cohen and Johnny Hallyday during key car escapades – it wouldn’t quite be a favorite. I hope this, my next submission, will be more of a challenge. . . . . . . . . . . . “So you had better start brushing up on your voodoo if you wish to remain sane.” ---

I agree it’s not one of the greats but at the time I lived alone and only had several VHS tapes to choose from and that was one of them. I think I got it at a bin sale at Blockbuster. It had it’s moments, definitely watchable, but, yeah, lukewarm. ---
