I know it’s a Steve Martin line, and from early in his career. I didn’t really think it was from _The Jerk_, but I can’t really remember where it _was_ from; maybe one of his albums or TV specials. It doesn’t sound right for _Pennies From Heaven_ or _Dead Men Don’t Wear Plaid_. I suppose he could have snuck it into one of his later movies as kind of an Easter Egg. There was some discussion upthread of movies that have no unmemorable lines. I saw a movie that would almost qualify, but I think I found one unmemorable line in it. “Look. If you did your cheekbones better, you could look like Cher.” ---
