Changed Star Billing on a movie

L’Auberge espagnole (The Spanish Apartment) was promoted in the US as an Audrey Tautou vehicle after the success of Amélie, but her part is pretty small.

Similar story with Matthew McConaughey and Lone Star. He only appears in a couple of scenes, all flashbacks.

After the movie Gladiator (2000) became a hit I noticed the DVD re-release of the 1954 movie just a few months later, gone were the star names and it had just the images of the gladiators and the coliseum, the cover had on top:

Even though he was a nobody at the time, Hoffman still got pretty high billing for Twister. And aside from Hunt and Paxton, he has more screen time than everyone, including the third-billed Cary Elwes.

So this one isn’t quite the leap some are.

To be far, I have as much screen time as Gretchen Mol did in Rounders and I wasn’t even in the movie! :wink:

Seriously though, she’s in what, five minutes at the most?
