\*\*FCD \*\*finished messing with the aquarium, with emphasis on mess, but it’s all done, so there’s that. I watched American Gigolo and The Woman in Red because they were freebies On Demand and I’d never seen either. Wasn’t impressed with either one, but I did get some afghaning done. We’ve had a very late lunch - I had a hot dog, \*\*FCD \*\*had an Italian sausage, plus I made steak fries. Not near as good as lunch as Sonny’s, but it’s the best I could manage today. Lazy lazy lazy… ---

Laziness ensues at da cave as well. It’s hawt out and da cave is cool. I do have a roast beast in the slow cooker so I count that as somewhat productive. ---

Welp, I finished the bag for Crochet Coworker. Now I have the sense of accomplishment that finishing something provides. That will get me through a few more weeks of The Neverending Teal and Purple Blanket. When I finish that thing I swear I’m going to have to throw a party. ---

You’d think sign makers and printers would correct their customers spelling and grammar. The ad from the newest Chinese carry-out assures us that they have the ‘thrillest’ Chinese food in town. A new ‘Greenish Grocery’ opened in my friends neighborhood. The ‘lottory’ is available there. OK I need y’all to tell me I don’t need to feel guilty. My mother told me she is going to clean up the pee stains on the carpet today. I asked her why _she_ was cleaning them and she said look how long they’ve been here, nobody else is going to. I said they are not my dogs and I don’t think it’s my responsibility to clean them. My mother says she doesn’t expect me to (so why does she keep telling me about them?) The adult in me says I should just clean them up, my mother is 78 and should not have to do it. The child in me says it’s not my responsibility and why should I clean up after the HFH dogs? I don’t think I should feel guilty and I think my mother needs to get on their asses and tell them to clean it up. I know they won’t, my sister will just say that the carpet needs to be replaced anyway so why bother. So why do I feel guilty and tell me I shouldn’t - or maybe I should? ---

**Sari** you feel guilty because you are a grownup and a decent person who cares about your mom. That havin’ been said, you shouldn’t feel guilty because HFH should get off her ass and clean up the mess _her_ dogs made. If your mom won’t do that, then don’t feel bad if your mom takes it upon herself to do the cleanin’ rather than insist HFH take responsibility. It’s still hawt out as in 97 Amurrkin as I post. As I sit here in the nice, cool cave, I feel sleepified but it’s too early for sleepy time. Life is so hard! ---

**Sari** - concern for your mother’s well-being is fine, but guilt is not appropriate. **Sah-mom** should be loading the guilt trips onto **HRH** - “clean up after your mutts or so help me I will kick you out of my house!” ---

So, I’d told my friends that I’d not be joining them today because rain+Jazzy=PITA. The local forecast had the rain starting in the wee small hours, and that the worst of it, including t-storms, would be midday, when my friends were getting together. There has not. been. one. single. drop. all. day! _::throws hands up in exasperation::_ ---
