Blurf. It’s very hot here today, nice to look at but not so nice to work in since the only aircon we get is from opening a window and turning on a fan. Fortunately it is pub night so I have that to look forward to - country pub with a nice beer garden and some fine weather to enjoy it in. Only four hours to go and I’m out of here! I still have leftovers from Monday night’s dinner in the fridge so I don’t even have to cook tonight. Bonus, indeed. ---

Glad to hear Mr. Blue is fine. Chest pain is a scary thing. Blurf and double blurf. Been having the landlord over a little too often for my tastes, and it’s driving me nuts. (That the landlord happens to be my in-laws makes things awkward.) Oh, well. Stuff is getting done for good, so that’s a plus. I went over to a friend’s house yesterday to learn to actually use a radio. I’ve got the highest class of license, so there’s literally nothing I can’t do, but I’ve never actually done it outside of a controlled environment. That changed yesterday. I talked to people in Houston, Texas; somewhere in Kentucky; W1AW, the ARRL mobile station currently in South Carolina; and tried to work someone in Sweden. _That_ was cool. I also know now what I need in order to get started, so that’s helpful. Now all I have to do is save my pennies and buy the stuff. In cat news, Target found out that there’s a mewbie sharing her space. She’s hissing whenever she smells Bethany on my hands (which is often, considering that I’ve been spending time playing with her), but she’s not attacking, which is a good sign. The recent landlord visits aren’t helping her anxiety levels, either, but the visits should (I hope) end soon. The two had an inadvertent face-to-face meeting this morning when Bethany ran out of the bathroom. She ran downstairs, explored for a minute, until she encountered Target. Target hissed at her, didn’t attack (again, a good sign), but stood her ground. Bethany didn’t do anything, but she is curious and she wants to be friends. I think it’ll work out once the landlord visits end and Target accepts that she’s sharing her home with a mewbie. It just takes time and patience. Another day, another job interview. Gotta get dressed and stuffs. Have a good day, y’all! ---

Howdy Y’all! I am back from my foray to the east forty. It was easy peasy so yay for that. However, there is someone big time on my list. What part of I need this form filled out and signed by somebody NOT RELATED TO YOU, makes a person first get the form filled out by his sister, then when given another blank form with the explanation the person CANNOT BE RELATED TO YOU, has his daughter fill it out. :smack: :dubious: :mad: So, here we go on round three. Sigh. ---

\*\*swampy \*\*- perhaps the individual thinks “Not Related” means “Not Sleeping With”?? :eek: Would “Not a Family Member” be clearer perhaps? I’ve got my suitcases out on the guest room bed and I’ve started adding some items. I doubt that I’ll need a mock turtleneck or my cardigans in the next month, or the hose or the fancy-schmancy scarves. I think I have some jeans I can pack and maybe a few shirts that won’t suffer from being folded. The dressier stuff will definitely go last, along with shoes, socks, and unders. And I’ll pack one change of clothes in the backpack that will serve as my carry-on. Mostly I’ve put the bags out in the hopes that I don’t forget anything. But I still need to make a list. ---

Am I too suspicious? A car stopped at the corner across from me. A guy got out and I figured he was going to the corner house but instead he started walking down the street. Why would somebody be dropped off at the corner instead of where he is going? ---
