This is about the woman who asked why there is no Channel One on TV. Cecil went on about why there isn’t one. There is actually a teen news show called Channel One shown in many schools across the United States. It is very informative and really appreciates it’s teenage fan base. The website is:[URL=http://www.channelone.aol.com] But in my school, it is shown on channel 4. Sigh. ---

First off, it’s pretty customary when commenting on Cecil’s Columns that we link back to them if they’re available online. [Why isn’t there a Channel One on TV?](http://www.straightdope.com/classics/a1_372.html). A good explanation of what the TV program shown in schools called Channel One is was given by **whitetho** in [this](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=130575) thread, and there are also additional discussions and comments regarding Channel One [here](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=161086), [here](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=61049) and [here](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=32168). Welcome to the boards, **toeivy** , and enjoy watching Channel One!
