Scott Sommers, aka Cyclops of the X-Men. Wah ‘‘My eyes! My cursed eyes!’’ Wah ‘‘O, this burden of responsibility!’’ Wah ‘‘I was an orphan!’’ He acts like he corners the market on mutant suffering. I mean, Rogue can’t even _touch_ people and she complains less than he does. ---

Walter White Jr on Breaking Bad. Not because of his speech impediment, but because the character is a whiny, self absorbed, narcissistic man-child. He offers little to the plot development and hurts an otherwise excellent show. He could be the target of a hit, and I would cheer. ---

Sara on CSI. I could watch the gross out shots without batting an eye but her non-stop complaining drove me off. In one episode she whined that her high-profile case was getting all the attention while a simpler case was overlooked (still manned, processed and closed-just not well enough for her). A few episodes later she got assigned a low-priority case and spent the whole time whining that she was missing out on the more important murder across town. ---

I’ll have to nominate the Doctor’s first few female companions: His Granddaughter (???) Susan, Vicki, Jo Grant and even Sarah Jane Smith.
