# Charles Higham's Film Biographies.  Well done?  Eve?

As a tangent to discussions elsewhere, Charles Higham has come up. What I want to know is how well researched are his biographs of film stars. Does the film community accept his research as crap? Solid? interesting but speculative? What’s the dope?  
If you need more info, I will supply.
