Happy birthday, Charles! Just think, by the time he appeared as the rent collector in “It’s A Wonderful Life” (1946), he had already appeared in 163 movies!! Some people knew him as the railroad owner in “Petticoat Junction” that wanted to shut down the Cannonball. Some people knew him at the crotchety old man in Disney movies. You may not know his name, but once you see a clip of him, you’ll say, “Oh! _THAT_ guy!” He just keeps on going! How cool that he’s in triple digits! ---

Not to mention the town constable in _The Music Man._ I believe when he turned 100 he said he’d consider doing another movie if the right part came along. ---
