The article says his next parole hearing is in 2027. I suppose it is bad of me to want him to recover enough to make it until then, so the board can tell him No again. Regards, Shodan ---

Seriously, aside from the nature of his crimes, he’d never get parole because 1) nobody would give him a job; 2) nobody would give him a place to live; 3) for his own safety, it would be better not to release him into society; 4) he has no family nor any kind of support system. ---

He knows he’s never going to get parole, so he shows up, spouts random crazy rhetoric, demands his civil right to mug for the cameras and give his random rhetoric, claims to not be in prison (in his mind), says he just want more freedom in prison – outreach and other tutelage opportunities, instead of parole. Then the state mentions “family” and he gets quiet. The only people who “win” in a Manson parole hearing are psycho-Civil Libertarians (of the sort who would call the ACLU are right wing fascists.) They maintain the state of California has had no right to hold him so long, given there was no absolute proof presented at the trial that he was an actual trigger man. (Or some such foo, I’m not really up on the specifics.) The sooner he dies, the sooner the “Now bear with me, I’m not saying Charlie was innocent, but legally speaking …” opp ed pieces can be written, published on _Vox_, or\* Mother Jones\*, or heck, _New York Times_ (they like edgy). That can then be frothed over for a few days by Yahoo News and Fox News. And then forgotten. ---

So, he’s in the prison hospital now-- but where was he before? He couldn’t have been in gen pop, or he would have been murdered in the bathroom by now. He’s a really little guy, wouldn’t be that hard to overpower. I can’t believe that someone didn’t beat Manson to death. ---
