What? Templeton isn’t being voiced by Paul Lynde? Hmph! Holy crap…I just took a look at the IMDB to see just how long Lynde has been dead – nearly 25 years! How the hell is that possible?? ---

I suspect this is going to try to recapture the success (artistically and financially) of **Babe** , but while that film was a miracle of understatement, this simply looks like a film calculated to push all the predictable buttons, from the presence of Ms. Fanning to the CGI tediousness to all the celebrity voices. It doesn’t help that everyone knows this story, so the expectations are high (as opposed to _Babe_, which benefitted from flying under-the-radar and taking everyone pleasantly by surprise). I will probably go see the film, but I’m not really encouraged by the trailer. ---

I loved this book as a kid but when I saw the spider in the trailer (I hadn’t realized this was going to be live action), the movie turned into a horror film for me. “Real” spiders (yeah, I know, it’s CGI) as opposed to cutesy animated spiders? No freaking thanks! Dakota Fanning is a very good actress with a brain. I don’t get the irrational hate. You guys are creepy. ---

I am looking forward to this, too, except for Julia Roberts as the voice of Charlotte. Somehow I was hoping for Emma Thompson or Kate Winslet (an English spider?). ---

It must have been less than that, but I could not longer think coherently after Tom’s over-acting and Dakota’s **screaming.** Gawdhelpme, I can still hear it. :eek: ---

Well you guys are all just big meanies (except for **Weirddave** and **FriarTed** ). The trailers made me teary. I need to find a little kid to take, because three middle aged men sitting together crying at a kid’s movie would look a little disturbing. ---
