Someone’s cat was apparently born without a face, and that someone keeps a photoblog of Chase No Face’s activities and general weird, scary pictures. Click at your own risk. ---

It is very touching. I wonder what happened to his face. The blog says “I was in an accident when I was 4 wks (2005), I became disfigured.” So it wasn’t a birth defect. I wonder if he can see and if he gets infections or any other complications. What a sweetie though, and very lucky to have a mommy and other kitty friends that love him 🙂 ---

The very first post from 2007 states that it was a car accident. The blogger was a vet tech at the animal hospital where kitty was brought for care and took him in after his stay in the hospital. The writer said that his eyesight is great but that he requires a few different eye drops each day. Artificial tears, a steroid and I cant recall the other- maybe an antibiotic? The writer said that reconstructive surgery was tried twice but failed. As far as the wound, it will remain pink and will not re-grow fur. The kitty lost his nose and has no sense of smell, as well as had to have a back leg amputated. Really though, despite the disfigurement, kitty seems pretty content in those pictures and is certainly well loved.
