I have seen several references to chatting on SD. Is there a seperate chat line available and if so, where do you enter?
Thanks

If you have IRC software, the channel is #straightdope. It’s an unofficial room and nothing to do with the Chicago Reader.

In addition: it is on Undernet servers only, if I’m correct.

It’s the same one. The TM page provides an applet to access it with, as opposed to having separate IRC software.

I am trying out chat for the 1st time.
**OpalCat** has also opened #3FMB but this channel doesn’t get much use. It’s empty again right now. There aren’t as many of us 3fers and I guess people use #straightdope. But you could check it out.
