# Check Images?

No. My checks are free as long as I get the plain. That is good enough for me.

Plain, partly because that’s what my parents always had. Their checks did have a bit of a border on them, like a certificate of some kind. As a child, I assumed that it was only right and proper that checks, standing in for cash, ought to have a dignified look to them.

It was quite a shock to me when I got a job at a department store and found out that otherwise rational-seeming people went out of their way to obtain checks featuring teddy bears and ballons and the like. In retrospect, this was probably about when I started developing a certain cynicism about people in general.
