# Check out time

One of the girls I went to high school with was found in her front yard with a bolt-action rifle (no fingerprints or blood on it) next to her body and SIX bullet holes in her head. Coroner ruled it a suicide. Must have been a sight to watch a 4’8" woman reload five times and pull a trigger she could not have reached with her short arms and shoot herself at an angle parallel to the ground all the while not bleeding on the gun.

The 19th Century French philosopher/sociologist Saint-Simon shot himself six times in the head and survived, only losing an eye.

His name is Frank Chu. He’s 39 years old. Lives in Berkeley. I asked him how much he walks on an average day and he said, “Eight hours.”
