Do I have to be French to be annoyed by bigotry towards the French? What attitude? Mocking a people known for their disdain for anything foreign? They have a bureaucracy in place to KEEP FOREIGN WORDS OUT OF THEIR LANGUAGE, for crying out loud. We don’t say C.E.S.M. out of some hatred. We say it to take the haughty, self absorbed bastards down a notch. Just like they refer to us in the U.S.A. as Warmongering Oafs. Ya know. I think I would HATE to live in a world where everyone had to be smarmy-nice to each other all the time. But you dickheads are trying to make that world. I see by your Location that you are in Ireland. Aren’t people KILLING each other there because of the church they go to? And you are indignant and offended about THIS? No. I am pretty sure it’s about religion, seing as you are all of the same race, and even nationality. So what I am being told here, is that the French are somehow the victims of cruel and terrible oppression because of some stupid cartoon quote? Just like other oppressed races? I really don’t think the two are remotely similar. ---

Well, here in the Ol USA, your Troubles are advertised as Catholics Vs. Protestants. I take it there is more than that? I guess what I am trying to say, in my uninformed and clueless way is, that while in Ireland people are killing each other over whatever differences they might have, I don’t see too many Americans marching around France waving banners with “C.E.S.M.” on them and bombing French schools. So don’t go preaching tolerance to me, from there. ---

**Francesca** , I spent two years of my life in England, and I never saw more France-baiting than I saw when I was there. Almost all the English I knew Hated the French with a passion. We Americans are amused by the French. Few of us Hate them with the ferver that I saw in England.
