Under a strictly literalist interpretation, you don’t actually have a Constitutional right to be shot in the face with a shotgun. That’s one of those emanating penumbras. ---

Though one of the great political philosophers who helped draft the Constitution was shot and killed by a Vice President of the United States ([obligatory Wiki article](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Burr-Hamilton_duel)), so there is originalist precedent for Vice-Presidents shooting people. ---
