And with that, it’s time to resign - I can’t prevent Black from playing a4, which will result in him getting a passed pawn that my king has to deal with - and while I’m doing that, he’ll take my c-pawn and then obtain a winning position on the other side of the board before my king can get across. Good game!

Dead Cat is right to resign (and has explained in general why.)

For anyone interested, one way the game could finish would be:

1. b4 a5
2. Kd2 Kc4
3. Kc2 a3
4. f4 a2
5. Kb2 a1=Q+
6. Kxa1 Kxc3
7. Ka2 Kxb4
8. Kb2 Kc4
9. Kc2 Kd4
10. Kb3 Ke4
11. Kb4 Kxf4
12. Kxb5 Ke3

and Black’s f-pawn soon queens.

I’ll put comments in the accompanying thread\* - it was an instructive game!
