Please note that I will be making a reservation on Tuesday, so if you’re coming, please post, [as discussed in the initial MPSIMS thread](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=633118). Also, there’s an option for dinner there as well, which I am further happy to make early enough reservations for, if enough people wish to go. Comment about that as well, please, if you’re interested. Oh, also, and I’ll post this in MPSIMS, Thursdays are the days they tap a new beer or two (don’t know what this time), starting at 6:00 pm. If this influences anyone one way or the other. ---

Aw, **Tm R. Mortiss**! I understand. Still, Goose Island Clybourn might be my favorite place in all of Chicago, so you could probably talk at least me into a post-finals meeting there. **Mr Downtown** , we’ve got you listed in the other thread as coming for at least drinks. Dinner will be earlier, if you want it. Oooh, that sounds lovely, **C K Dexter Haven**! I hope you enjoy. **Mr Downtown** , do you anticipate joining us for dinner (around 6:30pm) or just drinks (people are going to arrive ~8:00pm)? ETA: If anyone cares or wishes to contribute, the pub is also currently doing a toy drive. I don’t know through what charity, as I’ve not been up since they started it. They’re throwing in a $5 voucher for each toy. ---

A chance invitation to a doper meetup is what initially brought me to this forum years ago, I’d really like to go to another one sometime. Does this happen on any regular schedule? I’m in Michigan this week, but I’d come out next time. ---

**rikc** , we don’t actually have regular meet-ups, but maybe we should. However, we pretty much are willing to throw one any time someone wants to. For those in this thread, I made reservations under the traditional name, “Cecil Adams”. The reservation starts at 6:30 pm for the four of us who said they wanted dinner, with a note that four to five more will join us at 8pm. ---

As I mentioned in the other thread, I had a fabulous time. Everyone was really fun to have drinks with, and those of us who had intended to dinner had a really great meal. My only regret is that I wish I’d’ve managed to talk my husband into coming. He would have enjoyed meeting everyone, but particularly **Mr Downtown**. I hope we can do this again sometime. ---
