Lies. The molecular nature of the “anti-foaming agent” causes polymerization upon crossing the 49th parallel. Below the 49th parallel, the ambient UV radiation is sufficient to destabilize the molecules to prevent aggregation, but once in Canada, such rays are sufficiently scarce to allow the molecules to stably polymerize into long, goopy strands. When eaten, these strands adhere to the underside of the tongue and prevent the correct pronunciation of certain vowel sounds (e.g., about, pasta).
