Where to start, where to start… yesss, the beginning Lunch Friday with **Manhattan** and **Czarcasm** was great fun. Always good to see Manny again and great to meet Czarcasm. The only bummer was the fact that I actually had some work to do. After I finished working, it was off to party, so here is what I can say: **Cajun Man** you rock soooo much. I appreciate you letting me vent over vodka late Friday night. It is always great spending time with you. And **Dr. Matrix** , well I can’t say enough about how totally cool you are. Anytime you are in Chicago, just let me know – we can do drinks anytime. \*\* Gundy of the undies\*\* Kermit was never luckier than he was Saturday night. You are a gracious hostess and so absolutely cute that I can hardly express my admiration. And you knocked that guy at the bars elbow on purpose, didn’t ya? **Tiburon** well, what could say you rule more than boobies, quarters and lockers with waaay too many moving parts. Plus, you let me show you my vacation pictures more than once. **Typo mna** I don’t know how you could have possible ended up in that big ole king bed all by yourself Saturday night, I can’t think of a doper chick who wouldn’t have loved to spend some quality time with you. **biggirl** it was so great to meet you. I only hope that I will be able to make it to NY someday to spend some time with you in your element. \*\* iampunha and fizz\*\* are just about the cutest couple ever. Although I gotta say that **Dyno and Bristlesage** are darn nifty together too. The sugary sweetness of all that luvin left me feeling darn near diabetic. **Ringo** it was great to meet ya and don’t forget, Houston the first week in June. I better at least have dinner plans one night!! **Shibb & family** I gotta say that you are the best. I enjoyed talking to you and hope we can again soon. The kids are just adorable and Mrs. S was so incredible graceful around all of us strangers. She is a gem. **Random** Thanks for making sure all the festivities were organized. First of all I have to say after traveling the entire length of Indian (Windiana, indeed!) I was never so happy to see Kentucky. I can’t remember everybody I met so this will be a short and probably incomplete list but I’ll do my best. **Gundy** I am forever in your debt for letting me the Series of Unfortunate Events. That right there made the trip across Indiana worth it. **Jane D’oh** you are so wunnerful for saving **'punha** and myself from a dreadfully boring night (well, we might’ve found _something_ to do ;)) by ourselves in the hotel room Friday because we had no idea where to go! And your Safari pictures were so beautiful they made me want to travel to Africa. I doubt I ever will, but I sure want to now. **Shibb & Family** you guys were so awesome for letting Pun and I tag along to the aquarium and museum. I had fun spending the day with you guys and your kids are the cutest most adorable kids ever! I didn’t get to talk to a lot of people at the bar Saturday night (I was scared to death. You people are scary!) but to the people I did get to talk to, **Biggirl** , **bristlesage** , **Jane** , **Abe Babe** , \*\*the drunk girl in the bathroom \*\* and all the other people I can’t remember, you people are cool and amusing and thanks for not being quite so scary.🙂 I have to say my favorite part of the night was the drive home. Getting to spend more time with **Czarcasm** and **MEBuckner** and their smart ass comments from the Peanut Gallery made getting lost very amusing. And **Czarcasm** even though you’re a big fat liarhead I would love to see you again when Pun and I head out to Portland this summer. Okay that’s all I can think of. My brain is still fried from the 15,000 hour drive home. ---

I have many regrets about this weekend, namely: 1) that I didn’t force certain dopers to go to Big Chicks after leaving the Grafton and dance spastically with me, 2) that I didn’t pound plov up **typo** ’s ass with a funnel, and 3) that I didn’t go all Flashdance under the leaking roof. The last is mitigated, however, by the knowledge that had I done it, I would certainly be hospitalized by now from cracking my head open due to the inevitable fall off of my high-heeled boots. And I know from experience that that is decidedly unsexy. I fall a lot. ---

Oh my… I’m still recovering. Did you hear that it was a little stormy in Chicago last night, and that all the flights in and out were just a wee bit delayed? Like 2-3 hours? But no big deal, I’m a better person now that I’m intimately familiar with all three of O’Hare’s lovely terminals. I am truly disappointed that the “Wolfgang Puck Restaurant” at the airport is somehow a fast food pizza place. When did that happen? Talk about false advertising. Thanks to **Gundy** for being such a gracious host on Friday. It takes balls to invite random internet people to your house. Also, for putting up with me the whole weekend. You can touch me anytime. Babe. Thanks to Gundy’s boyfriend for looking like Jason Biggs from American Pie. Although I drank a lot of sangria, so he may not in fact look at all like him. (After two full glasses… “Does the sangria just have wine in it?” “Well, there’s rum in there too.” “Oh.”) **Jane D’oh** , your hotel accomodations saved me from having to do any planning at all for the whole weekend. I worship you for that. It was a bonus that the room was friggin’ awesome. **Random** (and the assorted other members of the search party), the bar was most excellent. The couches weren’t even stained or crusty! That’s just shockingly good. Our waitress was cute too, so you get bonus points for that. Whoever invented that Blue Moon swill should be shot though. I was tempted to the dark side by the cute color and the fruit. I’m not a huge fan of beer, but I can usually get through it without actually gagging. Not so the Blue Moon. Bravo! Everyone else, you were all wonderfully charming. Yet I’ve already forgotten your names. Tragic. The “Captioning of the Photos” should be real fun. Maybe I’ll just put them up and ask for help, though that didn’t work for the last set, which are still replete with ???'s and "someone"s. Oh well, you know who you are. Chicago was a blast. I’m so glad I went. ---

I’m horrible at these things because I always leave people off that I wanted to mentioned, but here’s a few things off the top of my head. First and most importantly: **Random** and **Gundy** and **Jane D’oh** , thanks for all the planning and logistics and stuff. Speaking from experience, I know what a pain this this. **UncleBeer** and I had a great time at **Gundy** ’s (I’ll speak for him - he won’t mind - he never does ;)), even though I was operating on 1 hour of sleep and Vicodin. All the food I had was scrummy, especially the plov and spinach pie and brownies and all that other stuff, though the spam sushi did scare me away from even trying it (sorry **Judith Prietht** ). All of the company was of course even more wonderful. **Ringo** , sorry I had to cut our kitchen convo short before nearly passing out and having to take siesta on the couch. I think I only said “fuck” within earshot of the Gundling once. I love Apples 2 Apples. **UB** keeps telling me he hates it but he lies. I’m also sorry we didn’t make it to the Field Museum on Saturday - I was still just too wiped out. Saturday night was great as well - probably would have been more fun if I would have been able to actually have a few drinks. It was wonderful to catch up with people again and meet some new faces. **Hamlet** and **Zanshin** tested my knowledge Saturday night with a “Who’s Who at ChiDope?” I think I did pretty good. But let’s face it, if I didn’t, how the hell were they going to know? But I think my hit rate was about 80% of the people there. I couldn’t keep my hands off **Garf** ’s shirt. I told him he should have matching pants. I flashed major cleavage at **Tibby** on the way out, but I don’t think actual nipplage was visible, unless the girls were really out of control by then. Them Wonder Bras turn Ds into DDs but definitely don’t keep things where they should be. Also, I was remiss in not grabbing any doper ass at this fest, due to my sober and not-feeling-great state for much of the weekend. I apologize and hope others were able to make up for it.
