Is anyone else a little in awe of **BrightNShiny** , or is it just me? And **iiandyiiii** : You appear to be arguing against the idea of knowledge in general. Could you generalize out your argument? I mean, hundreds of years ago, people were certain that bleeding promoted a good balance of the humors and that homunculi were involved in reproduction. Does this mean you disdain medicine and reproductive science in general? ---

Of course I also think the user agreement should say “you will not use the SDMB to post any material that you know or should know is false and/or defamatory, inaccurate, abusive, vulgar, hateful, harassing, obscene, profane, threatening, etc etc”. Call me old fashioned, but there should be some goddamn standards here. ---
