apparently, the world’s hottest chili is now the Naga Jolokia, found in Assam. It reportedly replaces the Mexican Red Savina Habanero. 855,000 Scoville units v. 577,000 for the habanero. Drink plenty of milk afterwards! ---

Uh, folks, not to be a culinary tightass but you mean the world’s hottest \*\*\*chile. Chili\*\*\* is the famed stew that includes chilis, (usually) meat of some kind, (often) beans, and (sometimes) tomatoes. but you already knew that and you were just seeing if I was paying attention, I’m sure. ---

Can’t wait for it to get into a chicken vindaloo. Apparently the Indian military is thinking of using the Jolokia in pepper spray. OUCH!
