# chimney sweep logs?

I swear I read about them here, but I did a search and found nil.

Do they work?

I suspect a chemical reaction with the creasote, but I need the straight dope.

There was a thread or two in the past. I can’t find them either. The short answer IIRC is “there is no independent reliable scientific proof that they work in any manner” and seem to be a scam.
