# China to pass U.S. as technology leader?

The strides made by China and India have been impressive, and it’s not out of the question they could leave us far behind.

But…

Bear in mind, this is Lou Dobbs you’re talking about, and Lou has never yet seen an economic indicator that he didn’t interpret as “The U.S. is going down the toilet, and everybody is passing us by.”

Yeah… they can’t launch a successful invasion of Taiwan, which is right at their doorstep, but they can conquer the world without working up a sweat.

Personally, I don’t think the U.S.'s problem is anti-intellectual. Instead, there’s a general problem whereby schools are making math and science as useless and annoying as possible. They’re more or less turning schools into prisons.
