But not shot! Plus, she looks great all stuffed preserved. To get back on topic, I’m confused. Is it Alvin, Simon, and Theodore, or is it Chip & Dale getting shot at. Because, I assure you, they’re very different. Night and day. You ask me, Chip & Dale are commies. Gay commies. Alvin and friends show admirable capitalism-friendly aquisitiveness in _Christmas Don’t Be Late_. Plus, it’s a freakin’ religious holiday they’re singing about, right? You do the math. How Dolly comes into this, I don’t know. Probably something to do with wool tariffs. ---

Chinese guards guards have been stationed at borders in the Himalayas since 1950 to discourage Tibetan emigration and Buddhist attempts to cross the border for pilgrimages to the Dalai Lama. There is a 50 year history of Chinese oppression of Buddhism in Tibet, but officially, the practice of Buddhism is no longer discouraged. Climbers frequently witness border crossings and sometimes report human rights violations. ---

**Wildfire** , yes, it’s a horrid situation, the Chinese occupation of Tibet is rife with atrocity, since 1959.That video is the least in a long lament of injustice. Would that Tibet had great oil reserves instead of great knowledge reserves, or the US would have done more that it did in helping Tibet to acheive Democracy, which is a goal of the current Exiled community. I’m always amazed by the equinamity shown by the Tibetan government in Exile, but the Dalai Lama, and Tibetan people, have that pesky Buddhist philosophical albatross around their necks. **Wildfire** MM\*\* and **elelle** , [Tibet.com](http://www.tibet.com/) has some updated information. A 17 year old nun was killed and a 20 year old injured. Thirty refugees were arrested after continuing to flee. Some of those arrested were children as young as five. Some of the refugees are still missin, but 41 reached Kathmandu and are under protection. ---

You can be “detained” (even as a tourist) just for having a picture of His Holiness in your wallet, or for carrying literature. And that is one place I would not like to be detained. ---
