I think enforcement is pretty sporadic for something like baked goods. And I’ve seen store bought King cake with the baby Jesus taped to the box. Wink wink, don’t you dare secretly insert it somewhere… ---

Only the name. Little plastic babies are commonly sold with king cakes but today are almost never placed in the cake by the baker. That started being phased out ~30 years ago.
