Kitchen/dishes - daily (we don’t have a dishwasher)
Laundry - one load on Wednesdays and the rest on the weekend
Bathrooms, vacuuming, mopping, “dusting” - every Thursday
Extra vacuuming - since we’ve had our German Shedder (Shepherd), I could vacuum twice a day. So I try to do one more vacuuming or at least use a dry Swiffer at some point during the week
Bedding - Sheets are changed every Friday or Saturday
Too true. Plans for having dinner guests and/or houseguests are the main triggers of serious cleaning.
Laundry happens when you see the last pair or two of clean underwear sitting in the drawer. (Or the last towel or potholder, in the case of household laundry.)
Dishes every day (another non-dishwasher household).
I try to follow the “fifteen minutes a day” rule for just doing a quarter-hour of some housecleaning task or other every single day, which is sort of a hybrid of “on schedule” (daily regimen) and “when needed” (what gets done in that 15 min is whatever most needs doing).
