Because I only know him as, you know, the ‘To Catch a Predator’ guy, and I’m preeeeeeety sure the ‘predators’ in question didn’t think they were going to schtup 30 year olds. ---

What I find most disturbing is that, except for the side she parts her hair on, his mistress appears to be almost an exact clone of his wife minus twenty years, down to the same hair bleach roots. Seriously, does this guy have an original bone in his body? Stranger ---

True, but I’d say there is general societal news value in learning about the child predators, con men and internet scams out there (though I"m not particularly fond of his method for getting it on the air). I don’t really see any societal news value in learning that prominent news guy is cheating on his wife. So I still don’t care, though I don’t feel particularly sorry for him. ---

I’m no blue-nosed moralist, but I have no problem with people being pilloried for cheating in a committed relationship. It’s no _so_ far apart from confidence tricks in terms of harm. The wronged party is unlikely to receive anything that approaches adequate compensation for the hurt - but a good old-fashioned shunning and ridicule that encompasses the offender’s entire sphere of influence?
