Whether this portion is as low as 32% or as high as 33%, I cannot say with certainty.
What reason, other than race, would a Southern White person have to vote for Romney over Obama? Not national security, not taxes, not the deficit, not health care. Maybe abortion or gay rights, but that’s about it. On everything else, whether you’re liberal or conservative, Obama has better policies and expertise.

No offense taken. If you care about the economy (and who doesn’t?) there is no logical reason to vote for Romney over Obama. Romney’s “five point plan” is all fluff and mirrors. His tax plan will kill the recovery and blow up the deficit. His increased military spending is pandering to the military industrial complex and reckless. My point stands: If you are a conservative or a liberal, Obama is your man.

There is racism in the world. And the Republican base has a lot of it.
In Alabama in 2008, only 10% of whites voted for Obama. In Mississippi it was 11%.

Voting Republican using the economy as your decision-driver is what’s stupid (and no, that’s not a personal attack, either). Democrats win on fiscal responsibility, job growth, federal government spending (especially President Obama), and economic prosperity.
