What is it with these types of fellas that keep a small-arms arsenal, thinking they’ll be revolutionaries in case the government “gets uppity”? Newsflash: the government has ships, tanks, warplanes and more armed soldiers than you can ever possibly hope to defeat. I suppose they have the mistaken belief that if “enough” of them band together, they can usurp the US government. Ain’t happening. ---

Its in line with anarchist groups around the time of WWI. They believed not so much in embodying the military force of the Revolution, but only in providing the spark that ignited the underlying resentment seetheing amonst the proles. They called it the “propaganda of the deed”. One such was the man who shot the Archduke Ferdinand and precipitated WWI. Point being its less about retreating to the Sierra Madres mountains to mount guerrilla operations against the government as inspiring others to do so. ---

Here’s what I can not figure out. Like McVie, these guys thought that the populace would rise up and join them in their fight after seeing their example of how to kill off government agents. Yeah, they’re crazy. But not too crazy to dress themselves, use the internet, and build a bomb. How on earth could they delude themselves into believing that there is this population of like-minded folks just waiting for someone to lead by example and kill policemen. ---
