Actually, Christian Rock **is** the devil’s tool. Think about it: America was lucky enough to have one of the most glorious sacred music traditions the world has ever known, and I must assume that it was simply keeping to many people faithful. So the devil planted an idea: let’s turn our backs on a vibrant tradition that in fact gave birth to virtually all other American music and instead embrace insiped derivitives of pop- culture Pap. That will “reach the youth”, the youth being the cold dark matter of American churches. The idea that Amy Grant could be better at convincing people that there is a god than Mahalia Jackson is so unnatural, it must have started with Satan. ---

Smith is influenced by Satan because his name appears backwards on an album cover and contains “runic” letters. From this page: "Having counseled teenagers in satanism, I know one of the first signs of satanic influence is _ **writing backwards** _! “But something even more frightening appears on the album . . . _**The M in Michael and the T in Smith is part of the Runic (runic means secret) alphabet used in witchcraft and satanism!**_ Only someone involved in the occult would know such an alphabet exists! In the book, _Web of Darkness_, former satanist Sean Sellers says, _"Runes are the oldest form of occult knowledge and magic . . . **their use sets a person against God."** _ (Sean Sellers, Web of Darkness, p. 72” )" (Emphasis supplied.) The author is definitely tightly wound. He’d feel much better if he had a drink and played some tunes… maybe something off Led Zepplin’s fourth album? ---

**Fenris** , that site was hilarious. “Then I’ll give you a little wedding present . . . some AIDS.” Bwahahah. That’s the stupidest/funniest line I’ve ever heard. Not to mention the fact that AIDS is, obviously, not a plural noun (“Some Aquired Immuno-deficiency Syndrome?” “Some syndrome?” Whatever.) Also, apparently these people believe that simply by saying “You have AIDS” it will immediately give the person AIDS. Seriously, though, that’s a funny site. Almost too funny to be real (is it?) ::adds bookmark:: Also, where in the Bible does it say “Upon death of the savior, Jesus Christ, whosoever agrees to appoint said Jesus Christ as lord and savior shall void any and all legal contracts.” I suppose I can say “Jesus’ blood makes the tax laws void for me” also. I firmly believe that Christian rock is the devil’s tool. Have you seen those CD ads on PAX\*? All those people just standing there with their eyes closed and their arms in the air, as if in a trance. Many of them wear rings on their thumbs. Obviously there’s some kind of cult thing going on here. It should be stopped! Death to all Christian rock “artists”. Hell’s too good for them! \*[sub]I only watch _Remington Steele_ on PAX. This is one gigantic crock of shit. I bet money the parent(s) are the ones writing this garbage. Churches book Christian rock bands to boost attendance for some sort of youth rally. They think it will all be good fun and lots of kids will show up to hear the music and listen to the message. When the band hits the stage the problem starts. Do you know what the problem is? The band rocks. (If they’re good that is) The crusty old people see a rock band and flip out. The kids totally flip out because some of them have lived a very sheltered life and to them it’s a lot to take in. Are they supposed to suck because they are Christians? “Hey you guys are Christians try not to rock so hard it’s not right.” When entertainment starved kids see a rock show the message portion of the rally sometimes falls a little flat and the elders get grumpy. ---

I’ve been a DJ at a Christian Rock station, I’ve listened to these bands for years, and I have possibly more clue about this whole arguement that you could ever conceive of. So take me seriously when I say it’s fine to make fun of this fellow who runs this Anti-Christian Rock site. He is locked into his little world, full of hate and anger. You guys want to know how “occult” the futhark (runic) alphabet is? It’s so occult that it was used in Christian countries for centuries, to be gradually replaced by the Roman alphabet.
