I logged into Hotmail to check my rusty old account like I do every once in awhile, and when you log out it automatically takes you to the MSN homepage, as many of you know. That’s where I saw the line that became the title of this thread. The link didn’t have a video (that I could be bothered to find), so I googled, and found it. The video title said “Irrelevant bitch is still irrelevant . . . and a bitch.” Comments included such niceties as: C U Next Tuesday I was ready for this crazy bitch to flip a switch and go NUTS. I almost made some popcorn before watching the 30 second video. I couldn’t wait. What I finally saw was a VERY obvious (and nonchalant) joke. I think she might have even been pausing because she knew the joke would have to be cut out, and decided to throw in some off-the-cuff remark to loosen up the tone of the interview. This is representative of so much that’s wrong with headlines and mundane gossip becoming “news.” I thought MSN had a LITTLE BIT of dignity. Assholes. LOL I’ve said worse to coworkers who cough and hack near me and god knows my livelyhood is not reliant on my voice. Good thing or I’d be broke. ---

Well it’s still a win/win game, she gets publicity for no reason, and they get page hits. The only losers are the silly little people who get geniuinely upset over silly things like this, and that’s pretty much a win too. ---

I wouldn’t recognize this singer if she knocked on my door and to the best of my knowledge I’ve never heard her sing anything (I don’t think they play her music on the “elevator music” radio station I listen to), but if she is getting criticized for a little humorous, off-hand remark like this I may buy one of her cds just to show my support for her. ---
