Secret Santa 2009 Our traditional price limit is $10 (excluding postage). With the economy in the shape it’s in, it seems like a good idea to keep to this limit. Stay away from NSFOIFOF (not safe for opening in front of family) gifts, otherwise anything goes. There are two steps to signing up: posting in this thread and emailing me. When you post in the thread, give your Santa a few hints – things you like, favorite colors, things you’re allergic to, etc. Send your sign-up email to **schnuckiputzi at comcast dot net.** Please put your username in the subject line. (This makes things infinitely easier for me.) In the body of the email, include your user name, your real name, and your shipping address. If you are willing to ship internationally, please say so in your email. I’ll keep a running list of participants in this thread. It’s up to you to make sure that you’re on that list. When you send your gift, PLEASE wrap carefully to avoid disappointment on the part of the excited recipient. Also include a note with your username so he or she knows who Santa is! Please post when you ship your gift and when you receive your gift – even if you’re not going to open it till 12/25. If you sign up and later find you cannot send anything, please let me know; this will (hopefully) reduce the chances of someone being disappointed. I’m in and email will be sent shortly! As for what I like… my favorite color is green, I LOVE bracelets of any kind, vanilla scents, lip balm, hot chocolate, butterflies, and journals. The only thing I can’t stand is coffee. ---

**schnuckiputzi** I also got the email bounced back, then I tried at comcast dot net instead of dot com, and it didn’t bounce. Did you get the email? My favorite colors are purple and turquoise. I enjoy long walks on the beach in the moonlight… no sorry, different introduction. I am not crafty but I love crafty gifts, I have pierced ears, read both hard science fiction and werewolf fantasy, I CAN’T drink coffee or I get rather sick, I’d enjoy something that is unique to my Santa’s hometown. ---

I’m totally in. I had to give my mom’s address though since I don’t know where the heck I’ll be living in the next month or so. I love surprises. I’m not allergic to anything. I am a female, nearly 30 - if that makes any difference. edit to add: I also got bounced back on the email. Like Reepicheep, I like things that are specific to Santa’s hometown. I also like educational stuff (for instance, when I found out I was moving to a new town, I went out and bought a book on the history of the town and read the whole thing). So, feel free to go nerdy with me if you like. ---

I’m so sorry!!! Yes, it’s comcast dot net, of course! My only excuse was that I was rushing to post this and finish my cornbread dressing for the Thanksgiving meal we had last night with our church fellowship group. Sheesh. What a stupid mistake. Fixed the email address in the OP. I’m in – this is one of my most favoritest Doper traditions. My favorite colors are green and purple. I love chocolate and don’t drink coffee. Books and CD are always good – my wishlist at Amazon is under my real name, and a used copy of anything on it would be great. I would love a cool wall calendar or something distinctive from my user’s hometown. T-shirt size is XL. ---

I’m in!!! I love Christmas ornaments or other items local to Santa’s area/town and anything with chocolate or coffee. I also like sparkly earrings (I have pierced ears) and have a daughter who’s nearly 3 years old. Please note because of my location, I will not receive anything that has alcohol in it. ---

I’m in. 47 y/o. Let’s see: I’m German/Irish. I work in IT. I like the color red. I don’t collect anything but like Future Londonite and others, I’m sure I would get a kick out of something unique from your part of the country. I’d prefer not to have anything Christmassy (like ornaments, etc.) as I would like to enjoy your gift year around. ---

Just got home from a trip to Barnes Hospital in St. Louis (good checkup) and a trip to Heaven (Whole Foods). I came home with BLACK SALT! And they had Himalayan pink salt, too. How foodie is that?! My tree this year is themed A Children’s Delight, it will be cover with toy and candy ornaments, something for my tree would be neat.
