It’s December and I doubt we will have any bars open for the next couple months. So,I’m looking for some ideas of what I can buy in bottles and cans. It seems the pumpkin stuff is still out there, I guess the harsh Covid closures right before Halloween messed up with their ordering. In the past, I’ve liked Great Lakes Christmas Ale and I know how strong it is, trust me! There’s always Fistmas, it’s fine, but I’ve drank so much of it. I remember trying a Shiner Holiday beer one year, wasn’t all that much impressed. I’m in Chicago if that helps. EDIT: Just found a Facebook post from December 7 2012 where I expressed my dislike of Shiner Holiday Cheer, so I guess it’s been longer than I thought. I do like Shiner Bock ---

**Leinenkugel’s Snowdrift Vanilla Porter** is a great winter holiday beer. Sam Adams Winter Lager worth a try. It was pretty good. _I don’t think you can get the next 2 in Chicago:_ Yuengling’s Hershey Chocolate Porter Saranac’s Caramel Porter. Saranac’s winter Sampler or Variety Pack. ---

For me, Christmas is Barleywine season: Hair Of The Dog’s _Doggie Claws_ Lagunita’s _Olde Gnarlywine_ Zebulon Artisan Ales’ _Barleywine_ and many others. ---
