Yeah, and I have a sneaking suspicion that all these stupid xmas items wouldn’t be stocked if there weren’t a fair number of stupid people actually buying them. Space in retail establishments is too valuable to stock things that aren’t in demand. ---

October’s nothin’! This year, I saw my first Xmas TV commercial the day after Labor Day. I don’t think I’ve ever seen one earlier. I’m not shocked or outraged, but 3.7 or so months early is just a tad early, don’t you think? ---

This is a benign little pit thread about something that mildly annoyed me. We do these every day. Sure, the X-mas too early thing gets done a couple of times a year. But it’s probably been about ten months since the last one, so I thought there might be some room for some good jokes and amusing stories.
