Christopher Walken for President

I already like him better than Jeb or Hillary, but I would still vote for McCain.

Cowbells: RoFL

Actually, that’s in the FAQ. He’s running as an independent.

I believed this until I read the “Why aren’t you announcing to CNN or the major media?” bit in the FAQ:

It doesn’t make much sense. The major media will get wind of this in hours. You cannot spread the word while simultaneously making sure the media doesn’t get the word. Also, I don’t believe any president candidate would call the media “bloodhounds”. He’s going to need them.

All in all, I hope it isn’t a hoax, but it probably is.

Oh, and the biography mentions that he “also starred in the critically loathed Heaven’s Gate”. It mentions a handful of his movies by name while pointing out that he’s acted in over a hundred of them, but one of the ones it chooses to mention is “critically loathed”, and they specifically point out that fact?

At last FARK (that for some reason has a fixation with Walken) has a thread on this, the consensus is also that this is most likely a fake.

Scroll down to 2005-08-14 03:15:36 PM for a nice animated cowbell icon of the SNL sketch.

Clearly this had to make it to FARK. The post at 2005-08-14 11:02:54 AM kinda sums up my feelings.

Better yet… Steve Buscemi

Vice President Jackson to Osama bin Laden: Hey! Does President Walken look like a bitch?

I think Walken has read FARK before, which is why they love him and he gets his own icon. The same reason goes for Wil Wheaton.

If I were an American, I’d vote for Walken. Oh, yes, I would.

One thing we can be sure of: President Walken wouldn’t have Special Interest Groups in his back pocket.

He’d keep them close to there, though. Near his watch.

I have a gmail account, and as such am unable to register for this board. However, if I could, a friend assures me I would find that it is the source of the entire hoax.

Biy, that really soiunds like “A friend of my cousin told me the following urban legend”, doesn’t it?

All a hoax as per this site. Read the “Scoop” about half way down the page for further information.

Which to me is a relief. Met Mr. Walken once. He is certifiable. Not that that would impede his chances to be President, as recent history has proven, but I think he might have been hard pressed to explain a few things…the Natalie Wood drowning story for one. But whatever. All a hoax. Nicely done though.

Funny stuff. Much more entertaining then anyone that’s actually likely to run.

Unfortunately that bastion of journalistic integrity, The Washington Times, says it’s all a hoax.

“As president, I promise a chicken in every pot, and a bell for every cow!”

Is it time for DraftWalken.com?

No, but it may be time for DraftCowbell.com.

I gotta have more cowbell, baby.

Bummer that it turns out to be a hoax. I could have gotten behind this one. I know Walken is certifiable, but he really is a smart guy. I’m tired of thinking that any president in this country could actually do some good, and now I’m out for some good entertainment from somebody who isn’t a raging buffoon.

Not that I’m coming out as saying our current president is a buffoon, mind you. Draw your own conclusions on that one. I don’t want to start a political thing. It’s the wrong forum.
