I had an extension on two Win7 computers that would middle click a link in a new tab and change focus to that tab. The extension disappeared off both and now middle click opens a new tab but focus stays on current tab. I can’t find any extensions now that have that functionality. Did Google decide that was a security risk or something?

You can shift+middle-click to open them in the foreground.

Or try this one: [Tabs to the Front - Chrome Web Store](https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/tabs-to-the-front/hiembaoomcehoiehhdldabfgnmphappc?hl=en)
