Silly online book? What does that mean? You obviously aren’t very familiar with the book or comparable literature on the subject. It was used as a university textbook for almost two decades and is widely recognized as one of the best books ever written on the subject.

Of course, there is the occasional critic – invariably someone who can’t name better literature. If you have issues with it, then let’s hear them. Let’s start with the first eight chapters which cover the history of these laws. What specifically are your issues with what they state there? What do you think they got wrong, and what research can you point to which reached a different conclusion?

And also, there are other histories and similar info on the web site, if you care to look. Which of those do you think is better or worse. Be prepared to give specific reasons.
