> [@LSLGuy](#): > > Every time I see that trope I think of the Disney cartoon chipmunks **[Chip ‘n’ Dale - Wikipedia](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chip_'n'_Dale)** who are always ever so polite to one another: Hehehe, I think you might mean Warner Brothers’ Goofy Gophers, Mac and Tosh. > **[Goofy Gophers](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Goofy_Gophers)** > > The Goofy Gophers are animated cartoon characters in Warner Bros.' Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies series of cartoons. The gophers are small and brown with tan bellies and buck teeth. They both have British accents. Unnamed in the theatrical cartoons, they were given the names Mac and Tosh in the 1960s TV show The Bugs Bunny Show. The names are a pun on the surname "Macintosh". They are characterized by an abnormally high level of politeness. > The Goofy Gophers were created by Warners animator B... They cooperate, so I think they’d be more than happy to attack together. 🥷 [![](https://img.youtube.com/vi/R7Vp-_wXENM/maxresdefault.jpg "Bone for a Bone | Goofy Gophers | Boomerang Official") ](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R7Vp-_wXENM) ---

When I looked up Chip & Dale’s wiki it looked _almost_ right to me. I also didn’t think the ones I remembered were Disney. I’m just peeved I didn’t act on those misgivings to dig up the correct cite. D’oh 🤦‍♂️ Thanks again for the needed correction. ---
