I’ve watched most (I tend to miss bits after adverts) of the first 3 episodes of this [TV series](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l6Cj1b-rp1E) on Virgin 1 and it seems quite amusing. But there’s something of which I’m not quite sure: is it simply spoofing the spy genre, or spoofing the spoofs of the spy genre? I’ve caught takes from spoofs like True Lies and takes from non-spoofs like Red Heat. ---

I’ll assume you’re talking about the TV series [Chuck](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=89Ye6dLzp4o) and not the UK Parliament’s Question Time. I don’t think it’s a spoof at all. As the series progresses the characters and situations gel into a proper TV show. It’s no more exaggerated than any other spy-based show. ---

I agree – _Chuck_ is definitely a spy comedy, but it’s really not a satire or parody. It stands on its own quite well. ---

How exactly would you be able to tell the difference between a spy spoof and a spoof of spy spoofs? Talk about the eye of the beholder… ---

I looked up today that Chuck and Pushing Daisies will not have new episodes until the next tv season. They showed all the eps they had from before the strike, and didn’t resume production. Bummer. ---
