Yes, I admit the idea of “President Cheney” does make the fact that Bush isn’t going to resign somewhat perversely comfortable. Nonetheless, it would be the honorable thing to do. Thousands of people have been killed because of a lie that he accepted as fact - this is far more serious than the mistakes Morgan and Dyke made.

We’ve been getting this BushEchoSpeak for quite some time.
I can only guess that someone in the Administration sends out emails with a couple-three"talking points" to all the rightwing columnists, neocon TV and Radio pundits , other hardliners, etc.
They use the buzzwords in the media; the rank and file hear it, then repeat, repeat and repeat it, which makes them sound smart.
