And, at least, you do acknowledge that the members of those boards aren’t socialites. Thanks for that. But for some reason, you think that Cindy McCain is the exception. Your partisanship is blinding you. Call her a druggie, call her a thief, call her a homewrecker, whatever, I won’t argue. But by calling her a trophy-wife bimbo you’re showing your misogyny, and frankly, you should be ashamed. ---

In fact, adopting is a very selfish thing to do in a lot of ways. ---

Ok, this may be a hijack, but does anyone know what McCain’s position is on adoption by gay couples? I noticed in the story Sam linked to that McCain was bothered by questions about his sex life during the adoption process. ---

Even though I dislike McCain and his party, I’ve mentioned in another thread: Cindy McCain developed an addiction. She did some bad things. But she got found out, she apologized, made all the amends that I would consider necessary and has stayed clean AFAIK for many years. In my mind, the issue is closed and I don’t hold this against her. Now, whether she looks like an animated corpse is another matter :rolleyes: ---

I don’t understand why there is so much interest in the spouse. Our current Prime Minister has been in for 9 years (ok this is probably her last year).
