Sheehan is filing a lawsuit. I hope she wins. As for the capital police and the “disclaimer” that they didn’t know the law, well here’s a perfect response, and it’s the same one all police use when a perp says “I didn’t know” IGNORANCE IS NO EXCUSE. ---

At least the vast majority of Democrats have been wise enough to keep her at a distance. If I were the President making a speech about democracy and freedom and ridding the world of tyranny, I would request that everyone in attendance dress in t-shirts making a political statement of some sort – even if it is just a request for bi-partisanship or love of country. Wouldn’t that be a beautiful affirmation about the State of our Union? Unfortunately, the statement that was made is very plain: _Freedom_ is a convenient and pretty word. ---

Now, if someone had gotten the Mods to delete your OP because they didn’t agree with what you said, _that_ would be an example of someone trying to suppress your freedom of speech. I don’t even have a problem with you or anybody else thinking Cindy Sheehan is a toolbag, or saying so, or wearing a T-shirt that says “Cindy Sheehan is a toolbag”. I _do_ have a problem with someone _arresting_ Cindy Sheehan for being a toolbag, regardless of the fact that being a toolbag is not a crime. ---
